Recovery Doesn't Stop at Pain Relief
Post-Accident Rehabilitation Built for Full Recovery
An adjustment that doesn't hold isn't an adjustment that helps. Rehabilitation therapy locks in your gains, retrains weakened muscles, and prevents the same problem from coming back six weeks later.
Why Rehab Is Critical After an Injury
Pain Relief Is Just the Beginning
Chiropractic adjustments restore proper joint alignment and motion. But the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that surround those joints have been weakened, stretched, or scarred by the injury. Without rehabilitative work, the joint re-subluxates, pain returns, and you're back where you started.
Rehabilitation therapy bridges the gap between acute symptom relief and full functional recovery. It retrains the neuromuscular system, builds the stability that prevents future injury, and empowers you to manage your own health going forward.
For accident victims, a documented rehabilitation program also strengthens your injury claim by demonstrating the scope and continuity of your care.
Goals of Rehabilitation Therapy
What's Included
Your Rehabilitation Program
Every program is built from your specific findings โ not a generic protocol. Dr. Jensen starts with movement assessment and builds a plan tailored to your injury, your body, and your goals.
Functional Movement Assessment
Before prescribing a single exercise, Dr. Jensen evaluates how you move: how you squat, hinge, push, pull, and rotate. This identifies weak links โ the muscles that aren't firing, the joints not moving, the patterns setting you up for re-injury.
Targeted Home Exercise Program
You'll leave with a focused set of exercises you can do at home in 10โ15 minutes. We demonstrate each movement, watch you perform it, and provide written references. No fluff โ only the exercises your specific body needs.
Deep-Core Stabilization
For chronic and recurrent problems, we progress to deep-core work โ transverse abdominis, multifidus, pelvic floor activation, and hip stabilization. These are the muscles that protect your spine under load.
Rehabilitation Modalities
Therapeutic ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and other modalities to reduce inflammation, control pain, and prepare tissues for exercise โ all delivered in the same visit as your adjustment.
Soft-Tissue & Myofascial Work
Manual techniques including trigger-point release, myofascial mobilization, and Active Release Therapy (ART) โ addressing the adhesions and scar tissue that limit movement and perpetuate pain.
Progress Tracking & Documentation
Every visit includes objective measurements โ range of motion, strength, and functional capacity โ that document your recovery arc. Essential for insurance and legal continuity of care.
